Main Aim: Enhance the mental health hygiene and mindfulness of refugee and migrant women through the application of art and performance methodologies.


Objectives:

  1. Develop the professional capacity of youth workers by training them in mental health hygiene, mindfulness, art therapy, and sustainable practices aligned with global goals.

  2. Foster social inclusion and emotional support for refugee and migrant women through engaging and participatory art-related activities.

  3. Improve communication and artistic skills of the target group, enabling them to express themselves effectively and manage stress.

  4. Disseminate best practices and learnings across participating countries to enhance the scalability and impact of mental health support through art.

  5. Create a platform for cultural exchange and learning among participants from different backgrounds during the international trainings and festival.


Activities:

  1. Kickoff Meeting: Conduct an online meeting to outline project goals, roles, and timelines.

  2. International Training in Romania: 5-day event focusing on mental health hygiene for 3 youth workers/partner.

  3. International Training in Lithuania: 3-day session aimed at integrating mindfulness and art therapy into youth work for 3 youth workers/partner.

  4. Midterm Review: Online meeting to assess progress and adapt plans as necessary.

  5. International Training in Turkey: 4-day training on sustainability and global goals for 3 youth workers/partner.

  6. Local Activities: Execute two local events in each partner country to apply learned best practices.

  7. Artistic Mental Health Festival in Romania: Organize a festival featuring panels, workshops, concerts, and support circles, specifically tailored for refugee and migrant women. 2-day event for 10 refugee and migrant women/partner.

  8. Final Meeting: Conclude with an online meeting to evaluate the project's outcomes and plan for future initiatives.


Results:

  1. Trained Youth Workers: At least 9 youth workers trained across three key areas: mental health hygiene, mindfulness/art therapy, and sustainability.

  2. Increased Awareness: Raised awareness about the benefits of art therapy and mental health support among participants and broader communities.

  3. Enhanced Communication Skills: Participants, including refugee and migrant women, show improved communication skills and better stress management through artistic expression.

  4. Artistic Outputs: Creation of various art pieces during trainings and local activities, which serve as tangible outcomes of the skills gained.

  5. Successful Festival: The artistic mental health festival successfully brought together at least 15 women from the target group, fostering a supportive network and cultural exchange.

  6. Sustainability and Impact Report: Publication of a project report detailing the methodologies used, impact on participants, and recommendations for future initiatives.
